Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg

Position Description

ACLS certification is required for this role. A 48-hour guaranteed work schedule is accepted.

General Information

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: 30
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Staffing Description: 6 nurses per shift with a charge nurse support and unit secretary for dayshift; 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) per shift.
• Equipment: GE telemetry, portable WOWs, Welch-Allen Vital Signs machine.
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: Three full 12-hour shifts with 3-4 weekend shifts per 4-week period.
• Floating Policy: Rotation with other travel nurses.

Patient Experience Requirements:

• NRC compliance.

Hiring Profile

Requested Skill Set:

• Experience in med-surg nursing.
• Familiarity with cardiac medications and drips.
• Experience with Meditech documentation system.

Essential Qualifications:

• Cardiac and telemetry knowledge required.
• Proficiency in EKG rhythm identification.
• ACLS certification is mandatory.

Dress Code:

Required uniform is navy blue scrubs.
