Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Telemetry RN to manage ED boarder/admit hold patients, requiring strong medsurg/PCU skills including cardiac drip experience.

Details

  • Position based primarily in the Emergency Department, managing MedSurg/PCU boarder and admit hold patients
  • Shift schedule of 7a-7p weekdays with every other weekend 7p-7a
  • 12-hour day shifts
  • Floating required to Stepdown, MedSurg units, and potentially the Behavioral Health Annex (training provided)
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • 2-3 years of ER experience required; candidates closer to 2 years must demonstrate strong independent, fast-paced, and varied clinical experience
  • Strong MedSurg/PCU background required, including cardiac drip experience
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

  • Manage MedSurg/PCU admit holds within the ED setting
  • Opportunity to cross-train for the Behavioral Health Annex
  • Weekly orientation provided
  • Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at local rate
  • Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
  • RTO must be identified prior to consideration
