Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Epic experience
- Active Iowa RN license or compact nursing license
- Required Certifications:
- Experience titrating the following medications:
- Cardizem (diltiazem)
- Nitroglycerin (Nitro)
- Heparin
- Amiodarone
Unit & Clinical Details
- Patient Types: Cardiac, stroke, and general medical
- Night Shift Ratios: Approximately 1:5 to 1:6
- Floating: Required; may float to other local campuses within the same discipline
- Non-Billable Orientation (NBO): 16 hours
Schedule & Holiday Requirements
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Winter Holidays: Must work 2 of 3 holidays:
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Day
- Time-Off Restrictions:
- Maximum of 1 day off request between November 25–29
- Maximum of 1 day off request between December 23–27
- Orientation Dates: October 26 or November 9, 2026

Accepted BLS/ACLS Providers: AHA preferred; ARC and U.S. military certifications also accepted.
Facility & Eligibility Policies
- Local Radius: No local candidates; driver's license address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
- Former UPH Employees: Candidates who worked as FTEs or PRN in the UPH float pool within the past 12 months are ineligible to travel in another market. The policy does not apply to former UPH travel employees.
- Interview Process: Viable candidates are being interviewed quickly; expect a phone call or text from a 405 area code.
Pay & Additional Details
- Overtime: Source states OT is billable after 40 hours/week, with a separate note referencing 48 hours/week. Confirm the applicable threshold.
