Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
RN – Medical-Surgical
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | 3x12
Experience: Minimum 1 year
Requirements: Active PA or Compact RN license, BLS (AHA), Cerner preferred, and Med-Surg experience.
Patient Ratio: 6:1 (up to 7:1 experience required)
Unit: 34 beds | 27 rooms
Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics; non-monitored medical patients, post-op joint replacement, bariatric, and general surgery.
Weekend: 4 weekend shifts per contract; every other holiday required.
Floating: Within hospital and sister facilities within 10 miles.
Local Rule: Candidates must reside more than 50 miles away; locals not accepted.
Time Off: Up to 2 days pre-approved.
Orientation: 12 hours; first 8 hours non-billable.
Flu Vaccine: Required; medical/religious exemptions accepted. COVID vaccine not required.
Submission: SSN, DOB, driver's license, RTO, and active license required. Two supervisor references preferred.
Compliance: Fingerprinting, drug screen, and labs within 24–48 hours of signing; all compliance cleared by Wednesday before start. Background/license issues must be disclosed.
Restrictions: Former permanent employees must be separated for 2 years. WVU travel limit: 1 year, followed by a 2-year break.
