Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Tele position on a Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit, requiring KY or compact RN licensure and BLS certification.

Details

  • Work on a 41-bed inpatient Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit
  • Care for medical and surgical patients with cardiac dysrhythmia, respiratory illness, and/or significantly altered hemodynamics requiring telemetry monitoring
  • Night shift schedule, 1900-0730, 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
  • BLS certification required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
  • ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
  • No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
  • Last 4 digits of SSN and month/day of date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and coordinate discharge planning
  • Collaborate with inter-professional care team members and delegate tasks appropriately
  • Provide patient and family-centered education and support throughout the care process
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
  • Candidates residing within a 75-mile radius will be considered at a lower pay rate
