Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive Care unit, requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

  • Work in a 41-bed inpatient Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit
  • Care for medical and surgical patients with cardiac dysrhythmia, respiratory illness, and significantly altered hemodynamics requiring telemetry monitoring
  • 12-hour day shift schedule, 0700-1930
  • 36 hours per week, 3 days per week

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
  • ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
  • No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
  • Last 4 digits of SSN and month/day of date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans in accordance with the nursing process
  • Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
  • Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
  • Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility to qualify for the travel rate; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
