Float Pool Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse

Contract | Nights | Every Other Weekend | Expected 36 hours/week | Day/Evening rotations with 1–3 night rotations per contract

Key Responsibilities

• Float between 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital, including ED, acute mental health, and ICU overflow areas
• Perform cardiac monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours
• Administer and manage cardiac drips and provide care for ED border patients and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
• Serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit as assigned
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Maintain clinician-to-patient ratios of up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License required
• AHA BLS Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a travel nurse
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, including strip interpretation and interval measurement
• TR Band experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of experience specifically in telemetry or Med/Surg Telemetry settings
• Prior float pool experience across multiple unit types
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
