Key Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for assigned patients across Cardiac Telemetry, Med/Surg Telemetry, and Surgical Telemetry units
• Apply knowledge of stroke patient care and management of cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, and Cardizem
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate and individualize patient care
• Direct and supervise nursing support staff in accordance with standards of nursing practice and departmental policies
• Float to assigned units as needed; adhere to every-other-weekend and applicable holiday scheduling requirements
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of approximately 4–5:1 across units ranging from 19 to 34 beds

Required Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a relevant clinical specialty
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring and stroke patient populations
• Familiarity with cardiac drip management in an acute care setting
