Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 18-week assignment with contract options ranging from 13-20 weeks

Requirements

• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact license in hand required
• Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS certification preferred
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required (co-worker references not accepted)
• Reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• All required certifications must be active and in hand, pending certifications not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients on a hospital unit
• PBDS assessment is waived, but ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate testing must be completed and passed during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts allowed
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, with a required 6-month break before returning unless client-approved
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
