Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring an active OH or compact license and prior telemetry experience.

Details

  • Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Requirements

  • Active OH RN license or compact license in hand required
  • Minimum of 1 year combined permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (NIHSS preferred)
  • One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required (co-worker references not accepted)
  • Must be free of any open background check cases or license hits

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients during night shift hours
  • ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation, with up to 2 attempts to pass
  • Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical/religious exemptions only
  • Expected to work every other holiday
  • Local candidates accepted
  • Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
  • Assignments capped at 18 consecutive months, with a required 6-month break before returning
