Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med-Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift float pool position requiring an AZ or compact RN license and 2+ years of experience.

Details

• Float pool position requiring flexibility to work across four facilities: Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, and Northwest Sahuarita
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Scrubs of any color permitted

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Active driver's license required for consideration
• US Social Security Number required for consideration (no Canadian SIN accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide shift-based nursing care using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
• Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in care planning and delivery
• Delegate and supervise patient care tasks among assigned staff based on their skill level
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Must float between departments and the four listed facilities as needed
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible (no local candidates)
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
