Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of combined permanent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required
- Willingness to obtain NIHSS prior to start
- One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty required
- Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
- Must meet all compliance and onboarding requirements prior to start
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify changes that require prompt intervention
- Administer medications and treatments safely, accurately, and on schedule
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient progress
- Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Support patient education, discharge planning, and continuity of care
- Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced acute care setting
