Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

12-hour shifts. Day shift is from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Night shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Every other weekend is required, approximately 4 weekend shifts per contract.

Job Description

This position is for a Med-Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse on 1 South at Jefferson Bucks Hospital in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. The unit serves adolescent and adult patients, with hospitalist coverage available 24/7. Orientation is approximately 2 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation/management skills.
  • Perform on-unit and remote telemetry monitoring.
  • Participate in Rapid Response/Code Team initiatives.
  • Provide colostomy/ileostomy and feeding tube management.
  • Manage pre/post hemodialysis and renal failure care.
  • Administer blood products and perform central line blood draws.
  • Provide peripheral line care and phlebotomy services.
  • Manage PICC lines and initiate IVs.
  • Conduct heparin management and care for CVA patients.
  • Support orthopedic trauma and total joint replacement patients.
  • Perform chest tube management, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and oxygen administration.
  • Provide tracheostomy care and ensure adherence to isolation precautions and wound care.

Required Experience

  • 2 years of RN experience in Med-Surg, Med-Surg/Telemetry, or Telemetry nursing.
  • Strong telemetry experience and dysrhythmia interpretation/management.
  • Experience with rapid response and code teams.

Certifications/Licensure

  • BLS certification is required.
  • Valid Pennsylvania RN licensure is required.
