Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring telemetry reading skills and prior travel experience.

Details

  • Med/Surg unit setting
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
  • 13-week assignment length
  • Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) rotation required
  • Telemetry monitoring responsibilities (must be able to read tele)
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • May float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Requirements

  • Active WI or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
  • Telemetry background required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • No artificial or acrylic nails; natural nails must be kept short (under 1/4 inch)
  • Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring responsibilities
  • Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate due to facility radius rule
  • Travelers should discuss assignment extension with their manager at least 45 days before the end date
