Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2+ years of telemetry nursing experience and OK or compact licensure.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Epic charting system preferred
• Floating required to other units and sister facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
• Block scheduling requests are not accommodated

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Skills in gastrointestinal, respiratory, IV therapy, genitourinary/renal, neurological, and cardiovascular care
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry remote monitoring, and rapid response/code team protocols
• Current, valid driver's license or state-issued ID required
• Utility bill in candidate's name with matching address required, dated within the last three months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and emergency response coordination with rapid response and code teams
• Utilize skills such as BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, ABG interpretation, tracheostomy care, central and PICC line management, and continuous bladder irrigation
• Support patients with conditions including CVA, seizure disorders, renal failure, and substance withdrawal
• Administer medications per heparin protocols and manage PCA pumps
• Follow isolation precautions and appropriate PPE protocols
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility
• Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO accepted
• Former INTEGRIS employees must have a minimum of 1-year separation from the health system to be eligible
• Two supervisory references required for consideration
