Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a combined Med Surg Telemetry / PCU unit serving surgical and medical populations, including post-operative, infectious disease, respiratory, and telemetry patients
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently; collaborate with remote monitor technicians as needed
• Care for stable CPAP and BiPap patients within the unit's scope
• Float as needed to the Multi Care Unit, Pediatric unit (adult MST patients), and West Campus Med Surg Tele
• Participate in weekend rotation (every other weekend) and holiday rotation
• May be asked to precept nursing students

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Arizona
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to contract start
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior telemetry or PCU experience strongly preferred
• Experience caring for a diverse patient population including surgical, medical, and telemetry diagnoses
• Comfort working in a float-capable environment across multiple unit types
