GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.
We are seeking a dedicated MS/Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Rochester, NY. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing essential care to patients in need. As a valued member of our nursing staff, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care.
**Position / Specialty:** MS/Tele RN. RNs need to have a mandatory competency with phlebotomy as well as placing IVs as this is a required skill. Day/Eve ratios are 5 to 1 (stretch 6-7). Night ratios are expected to be 6-7 to 1 (stretch 8-10 if staff calls in). We have Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) on all units that assist with vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living.
**Years of Experience Required:** 1 year. First-timers accepted: Yes. Weekend Requirements: Every Other Weekend. Certifications Required: BLS. On-call Requirements: No.
**Floating Requirements:** This traveler may need to float within scope to meet facility needs, including floating between like units such as ED boarders, ICU (stable), Med-Surg, and acute brain injury (stable patients). Open to accommodating block schedule? They will try but it's not guaranteed. Locals accepted: No (75 miles radius). Pending License accepted: No. RTO Restrictions: No more than 1 week RTO in a contract.
**Special Requirements:** MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response Teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions.
**Patient Diagnoses:** Cardiac, pulmonary, pain, GI, infection, unmanaged diabetes mellitus.
**Special Equipment:** Bladder scanners, telemetry, EKG machines, lifepacks. Preferred Scrub Color: Any combination of navy and white. Charting: Epic.
