Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with a KY or compact RN license for a 22-bed telemetry unit caring for complex patients.

Details

• 22-bed telemetry/med-surg unit caring for complex patients such as CHF, stroke, ESRD, and post-op cases
• Patients admitted from ICU, ED, and PACU
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 0.9 FTE with 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications required within 6 months of hire
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required within 6 months of hire
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for complex telemetry/med-surg patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Collaborate closely with the interprofessional care team to support a healing, patient-centered environment
