Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a compact RN license
• NURSYS verification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required
• ACLS preferred
• 2 years of overall Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred; 18 months may be considered with at least 1 year of recent specialty experience
• Ability to work under the highest level of professional license
• Willingness to float to other units or hospitals as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care for adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients in an acute care environment
• Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry data, and respond promptly to clinical changes
• Administer medications and treatments according to the plan of care and facility protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in Meditech
• Support safe staffing needs by floating to other units or hospitals when needed
• Maintain a professional, patient-focused approach in a busy clinical setting
