Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring prior travel nursing experience and EKG test proficiency.

Details

  • Inpatient ICU setting caring for Med/Surg/Telemetry admissions
  • 12-hour day shifts
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating required, with priority given to other Med/Surg/Tele units
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross only)
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele/Neuro experience
  • Prior travel nursing experience required with at least 1 completed travel assignment
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Passing score of 80% or higher on Relias EKG test required prior to start
  • Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation
  • 2 professional references required, with 1 reference from the most recent travel assignment
  • Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg/Telemetry inpatients in an ICU environment
  • Holiday coverage required for 1-2 holidays during the contract
  • RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts or 7 days for 13-week contracts
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
  • Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 12 months to be considered as a traveler
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
  • Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius
  • Candidates will be required to participate in a 10-15 minute interview with the hospital
