Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse in St. Louis, MO. This contract position offers an opportunity to provide excellent care to patients in a dynamic Med Surg unit. We are seeking a dedicated RN with strong documentation skills and a passion for teamwork.

**Position Details:**

• Unit: 6900 GI/GU
• Experience Required: 2 years of Med Surg experience
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-6
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• Skills Required: Med/Surg, Telemetry (remote monitoring), Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, Insulin, PCA
• On-call Requirement: No
• Floating Requirement: Within service line
• Local Candidates: Not accepted (75 mile radius)
• Pending License Accepted: Yes
• Restrictions on Time Off: No more than 7 days

**Patient Diagnoses:** Ostomy, colon resection, colon cancer, bladder cancer, GU, medical overflow high turnover surgery patient unit. Candidates will need to pass the Relias EKG exam, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias is required.

**Special Procedures/Unit Details:** Foleys, CBI (continuous bladder irrigation), TURPS, protocols for colorectal patients. The unit administers various drips including Heparin, Lidocaine (pain only), Bicarb, Bivalirudin, and Amiodarone (stable non-titrated). We also have PCAs, Epidurals, and CBIs with different irrigation solutions. Centralized telemetry is available, and basic knowledge of telemetry is preferred.
