Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including telemetry readings, and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Participate in holiday coverage rotation, including 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
• In the event of an emergency or disaster, may be assigned to an emergency response team or relief team as directed by unit management
• Maintain current required certifications (ACLS, BLS, CPI) throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CPI — AHA-issued certifications required
• NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and current within 4 weeks of submission date
• 2 Manager or Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RN references are not acceptable); references must be submitted in PDF format
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as reflected on driver's license) to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification preferred (note: candidates without PALS will not be assigned pediatric patients)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
