Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool night shift position in Tuscaloosa, AL, requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active AL or compact RN license.
Details
- Float Pool position covering Med/Surg Telemetry units in an acute care hospital setting
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospital locations
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- EMR: Meditech (experience not required)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active AL state or compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted
- No hits (past or current) on nursing license
- AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience with at least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Candidates with 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license with 1 year of recent specialty experience may be considered
- Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required
- Current driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Solid navy scrubs required
- Virtual orientation provided, including competency-based modules — no pre-start HealthStream modules required
- Timekeeping system: Centricity
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no radius restrictions
- A cardiac exam will be required upon offer acceptance
