Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring a TN or compact RN license and 1+ years of MS/Tele experience.

Details

  • Work on a Medical Surgical Combination unit at a 167-bed, Level III Trauma Center
  • Care for an all-ages patient population
  • Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
  • 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
  • Weekend coverage required every other weekend or as needed
  • Call requirements as needed
  • Floating to similar med/surg units as needed
  • Uses Omnicell for medication dispensing
  • Charts in Meditech EHR

Requirements

  • Active RN license (TN state or compact) required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS through AHA
  • Minimum 1+ years of MS/Tele nursing experience required
  • IV insertion skills required
  • Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to start
  • Social security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Deliver quality medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to patients of all ages
  • Report to the Nursing Director overseeing the unit
  • Weekly orientation held on Mondays
  • Professional dress code with any scrub color accepted; casual wear not permitted
  • Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
  • Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full time
