GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Greenville, South Carolina.
Join a leading acute-care hospital as an MS/Tele Registered Nurse in Greenville, SC. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic Med Surg and Telemetry setting. As a vital part of the healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care while floating as needed to various units.
Shift Details: You will work Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, but may vary based on the facility's needs. This position is primarily on a Med Surg floor, but travelers must have experience in both Med Surg and Telemetry to accommodate floating requirements.
Patient Diagnoses: The unit specializes in a 30 non-cardiac monitor bed unit focusing on Vascular and Urology patient populations. You will receive overflow patients from General Surgery, Women's Specialty, and Medicine. The average length of stay for patients is one to two days, and you will care for patients coming from the PACU, ICU, and ED areas.
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: The nurse ratio is 1:5 on both day and night shifts, with three support staff available under the direction of the RN.
Special Procedures: As a traveler, you will manage 5-6 med-surgical patients who are non-monitor. Responsibilities include performing dressing changes and providing care for patients with wound vacs and drains. Experience in Urology and Vascular care is essential, and Epic experience is required with at least one year of use.
Required Certifications: You must hold active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, as well as an active SC RN license. Be aware of the Prisma Health Floating Policy for contracted staff, which requires agency staff to float to other units or campuses as needed based on census concerns. Floating will only occur to units you are qualified for, and tasks must align with demonstrated competencies.
