**Exciting Opportunity for Travel RN Med Surg!** **Job Description:** - **Location**: 609 Medical City Drive, Decatur, TX 76234 - **Floors**: 4th Floor & 5th Floor - **Building**: Main Campus **Unit Highlights:** - **Number of Beds**: 60 - **Number of Staff**: 50 - **Staff Overview**: - Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse per floor, RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretary - Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse per floor, RNs, LVNs, PCTs - **Patient Ratios**: - 4th Floor: 5:1 (Med Surg Specialty) - 5th Floor: 6:1 (Med Surg) - **Equipment**: - Remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, dynamaps - **EMR System**: Alterra (Allscripts) **Typical Hiring Profile:** - **Must-Have Skills**: - Telemetry experience - Med Surg experience - **Preferred Skills**: - Cardiac recognition - IV starts - Time management **Typical Procedures Performed:** - Abdominal surgeries: cholecystectomy, appendectomy, colectomy, diagnostic procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis - Heart Catheterizations, run-offs - Gastric sleeves, total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements - Orthopedic trauma repairs (fractures) **Best Personality Fit:** - Team-oriented - Positive attitude - Flexible **Required Certifications:** - ACLS - BLS - NIHS **Floating Areas:** - Mandatory Float as needed: Inpatient rehab, ED, PCU - Assignments will not exceed skill level or scope **Dress Code:** - Current Scrub Color: Black (Transitioning to Medical City Blue) **Weekends and On-Call:** - Weekend shifts are required - No on-call expectations - Attendance policy applied **Position Title:** Travel - RN Med Surg (610) / MC Decatur / 7P-7A **Years of Experience Required:** 1 **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
