Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a day-shift hospital contract requiring 2+ years of MS/Tele experience and EKG proficiency.

Details

  • Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit caring for boarded ED patients, not direct ED patients
  • Float to other MS units when not needed in the ED
  • 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
  • Every-other-weekend requirement
  • Holiday coverage as needed
  • No on-call requirement
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required (temporary license accepted if permanent application submission receipt is provided)
  • BLS certification required (American Heart or American Red Cross accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, 4+ years preferred
  • EKG test score of 80% or higher required prior to consideration
  • On-site EKG competency test required on Day 1 of orientation
  • New graduates not accepted
  • Two current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the relevant specialty, within the last year
  • Epic EMR experience required and noted in employment history

Additional Information

  • Care for telemetry-monitored patients boarded in the ED as well as float coverage to other MS units
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Facility conducts a brief 10-15 minute interview prior to placement
  • Returning former staff must have a 12-month break in service to be considered as a traveler
  • RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for this 8-week contract
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
