Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift float pool role requiring prior travel experience and at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience.

Details

  • Float pool position supporting Med/Surg units
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • 12-hour night shifts from 19:00-07:30, with 36hr or 48hr weekly schedule options
  • Every other weekend coverage required
  • Uses Omnicell medication system and Cerner documentation system
  • Utilizes SBAR communication system

Requirements

  • Active CT or compact RN license required
  • BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
  • Experience with blood product administration
  • Experience with peripheral line and PICC line care/management
  • Experience starting and maintaining IVs
  • Experience with nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
  • Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Charting system experience required
  • Professional references required
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provides direct patient care across multiple Med/Surg units as part of a float pool
  • Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local
  • RTO requests must be submitted upfront
