Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele Step Down unit, requiring MS/SD experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Med Specialty Step Down unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• Cares for an assigned group of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board or multistate compact eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Med/Surg Step Down experience required
• ICU experience and ACLS certification preferred
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed
• Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Communicates care plans with patients and families and provides discharge education
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Facility enforces strict compliance and credentialing deadlines with no flexibility for start date pushes
• Workers may extend assignments once for a total of up to 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying
• 30-day written notice required for early cancellation or assignment end
