Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Nursing Float Pool position requiring MA RN licensure and Epic EMR experience.

Details

  • Nursing Float Pool position within a hospital setting
  • Medical-Surgical Telemetry specialty
  • Patient ratios between 1:3 and 1:5
  • Floating required to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units in 4-hour blocks while on shift
  • 12-hour night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
  • 13-week assignment with weekly Monday start dates
  • Every other weekend required (Fri, Sat, Sun for nights)
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required in hand
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Level 1 trauma experience preferred; required if candidate has no prior travel experience
  • Must complete day-one pass/fail testing (Tele/ECG and Medication Test)
  • COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)

Additional Information

  • No time off approved for Christmas
  • Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for a minimum of 6 months (perm, per diem, or contract) prior to consideration
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • First-time travelers may be considered depending on trauma experience
  • Interview Services team will conduct a call review prior to manager submission
