Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring an active MA RN license and experience with geriatric behavioral health patients.

Details

  • 8-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit focused on geriatric patients with behavioral disturbances and medical issues, including dementia, confusion, and impulsivity
  • Patient ratios are 4:1
  • 1-2 CNAs on the unit during day shift
  • 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM
  • Weekends and holidays required
  • Biweekly orientation
  • No floating or charge responsibilities required

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required in hand
  • Must pass ECG/Telemetry and Medications tests during onboarding with one attempt only, requiring an 85% passing score within 48 hours of offer
  • No opportunity for remediation or re-testing if failed

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care to elderly patients with behavioral and medical complexities on a telemetry unit
  • Interviews conducted by the hiring manager; candidates should provide availability at time of consideration
  • RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
  • Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius; local candidates are not accepted
  • Previous employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility before returning
  • COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
