• Float Expectations: May float to comparable units and emergency care areas to support patients with similar needs

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state RN license in hand
• At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current ACLS and NIHSS certifications
• Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Required certifications must be active and available at the time of application
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and time-management skills

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established protocols
• Perform focused and head-to-toe assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate timely, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Adapt to rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and floating assignments while maintaining high standards of nursing care
