Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a hospital setting requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• May care for patients on ventilators
• Rotating day/night shifts (3x12 hours), 7pm-7:30am or 7am-7:30pm
• Shifts may vary based on operational needs, though preferred shift will be honored when possible
• Every other holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele specialty required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required (co-worker references not accepted)
• Reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required, medical/religious exemptions only

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg Tele patients, including possible ventilator management
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation with a passing score required (2 attempts maximum)
• PBDS assessment is waived for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Open background check cases or license hits are not accepted
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• RTO must be discussed and finalized prior to consideration
• Travelers may only be considered for one position at a time within the Cleveland Clinic Health System
