Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state license in hand at the time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or a related acute care nursing specialty
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience in Med Surg Tele, telemetry nursing, or a closely related medical-surgical setting preferred
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and every other holiday as needed
• Strong telemetry rhythm recognition and clinical assessment skills
• Two assessments completed during orientation with an acceptable passing score
• Professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager (ANM), supervisor, or director in the specialty

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to adult med/surg and telemetry patients in an acute care environment
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with nursing standards of practice
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain accurate clinical records
• Support a safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care environment
• Float to similar patient populations when needed based on operational needs
