Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a high acuity floor requiring 2+ years of MS/Tele experience and an active NH or Compact RN license.

Details

  • High acuity Med Surg / Respiratory Care Unit setting
  • 20-bed unit with patient ratios of 1-5, sometimes 1-6
  • Common patient diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, osteomyelitis, diabetic foot infections, hepatic encephalopathy, renal failure, bowel obstruction, end of life care, and wounds
  • 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, 3 shifts per week
  • Holiday coverage required
  • May be requested to float to Concord Hospital-Laconia or Concord Hospital-Franklin locations
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
  • Current BLS required
  • NIHSS certification required prior to start
  • ACLS certification required
  • Must complete a Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding with a preferred score of 80%
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
  • Driver's license with address matching demographics required for consideration
  • NURSYS report and license verification required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Care for high acuity Med Surg/Telemetry patients with complex diagnoses
  • Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at a local rate
  • Weekly orientation provided
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Returning perm staff may apply as travelers after a 12-month break in service
  • RTO must be included at time of consideration
  • 3 professional references required once committed, with 2 from leadership
