RN - MedSurg/Tele | Location: Macon, GA

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the MedSurg/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience and be comfortable handling a variety of patient cases, including those with acute or chronic diseases. This role requires strong assessment and time management skills, and the ability to coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team.

  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2250 (negotiable)
  • Accepts first-time travelers: Yes
  • Floating: Required to float to all Med/Tele units and occasionally to ED for holds
  • Charting System: EPIC (6 months experience required)

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for inpatient MedSurg/Telemetry patients
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
  • Manage chest tubes, Trach care, and PIV starts and maintenance
  • Maintain care coordination and patient education
  • Administer and titrate IV drips: insulin, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, milrinone, Digoxin, nicardipine
  • Coordinate with discharge nurses and resource teams as needed

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current BLS certification
  • Tele skills including cardiac monitoring
  • Strong assessment, time management, and care coordination skills
  • Experience in Epic EMR (6 months required)

Preferred:

  • ACLS certification (required to pass an EKG competency exam during onboarding)
  • Certification in med-surg

PEL/VIP Job ID #65184318. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
