Assignment Overview
We are seeking an experienced MedSurg/Tele RN for a Level 1 Trauma Teaching Hospital. Ideal candidates will have strong clinical skills and experience in orthopedic and trauma care. Applicants with 2 or more years of Med/Tele RN experience are preferred, though first-time travelers are welcome to apply.

- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, 7A-7P or 7P-7A
- Weekend Rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12 (on a 6-week schedule)
- Holiday Expectations: Work one shift of each major holiday
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2160 (negotiable)
- Charting System: EPIC
- Floating: All adult med surg/telemetry units in-house
Responsibilities
- Provide post-op and trauma care for patients with orthopedic and chronic diseases
- Manage and interpret cardiac monitoring and telemetry
- Perform wound care and post-operative monitoring
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and plan discharges
- Provide patient education, particular focus on renal and fluid management
Qualifications
Required:
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience
- Proficiency in trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, and glucommander usage
- Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills
Preferred:
- ACLS certification
- National certification (Medical-Surgical or Nephrology nursing)
