Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Lexington, Kentucky.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide quality patient care in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. The RN will care for adult patients with a variety of medical and cardiac conditions while monitoring their overall health and cardiac rhythms.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
- Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and evaluate changes in condition.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize abnormal heart rhythms.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist with procedures and coordinate care with physicians and the healthcare team.
- Monitor patients for complications and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and hospital policies.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Requirements:
- Active RN license in the applicable state.
- Previous Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Excellent teamwork and patient-care skills.
