Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift in Akron, Ohio

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent permanent Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty, preferably from the past 12 months
• Ability to complete required background screening, health screening, and onboarding documentation
• Required COVID-19 and influenza vaccination documentation, with medical or religious exemptions considered according to applicable requirements
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation

Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical Telemetry patients during overnight shifts
• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and promptly escalate clinical concerns
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs while responding appropriately to telemetry findings
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards and provider orders
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate treatment and discharge planning
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans in the electronic medical record
• Provide patient and family education, including medication, treatment, and discharge instructions
• Promote a safe patient environment and support effective handoff communication
