Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Medical/Surgical Tele position requiring 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience and Cerner proficiency.

• Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit setting
• 3x12hr day shifts, 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active RN license in state/district (DC license required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience required in a US hospital setting
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Delivers competent, capable, and efficient patient care across the lifespan
• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, including review of systems, with appropriate documentation
• Completes admission assessments within established timeframes per policy and procedure
• Determines appropriate nursing needs based on patient assessment findings
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
