Description

American Traveler is hiring a Medical Surgical/Tele RN for a night shift position requiring IN or compact RN licensure and 2 years of experience.

Details

  • Work in the Transitional Care Unit providing Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing care
  • Unit has 25 beds with a 12-bed overflow unit
  • Patient ratio of 1:6
  • Shift runs 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Floating required
  • Block scheduling available as an option
  • No on-call requirements
  • Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

  • Active RN license (IN or Compact)
  • Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
  • 2 years of recent experience required
  • Skilled in starting IVs, placing NG tubes, inserting foley catheters, and caring for continuous bladder irrigation patients
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience caring for patients with multiple diagnoses

Additional Information

  • Care for a diverse patient population with multiple diagnoses in a fast-paced unit
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Holiday coverage required for Nov. 21–29, 2026 and Dec. 20, 2026–Jan. 3, 2027
  • Maximum RTO of 1 week, with the option to add an additional week at the end of the contract
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
