Number of Beds: 38
Patient Ratios: 6:1 (goal for charge nurse to assist), 7:1 during night stretch
Type of Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, Wound vacs, SCDS, prima-fits
EMR: Cerner Powerchart

Typical Hiring Profile:

Must Have: Medical/surgical nursing experience, Telemetry
Preferred: Charge nurse experience

Typical Procedures Performed:

Peripheral IV starts
Dressing changes
Other standard medical surgical skills

Best Personality Fit:

Team player
Positive attitude
Proactive in helping others

Required Certifications:

Floating Areas:

Other medical surgical units, ED holding medical/surgical patients

Dress Code:

Scrub Color/Attire: all navy, all white, or white top and navy pants, navy or white undershirts if needed

Weekends and On Call:

Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule
