Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg-Tele RN for a day-shift travel assignment requiring Cerner experience and at least 2 years of acute care experience with 2+ completed travel assignments.

Details

• Med/Surg and Telemetry units with floating required between the two departments
• Patient population includes Ortho, Post-op, CHF, and Respiratory cases with remote telemetry monitoring
• 35-bed unit with average monthly volume of 810 patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7, with PCT support at 14 patients
• Day shift schedule, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Medication administration performed using bedside scanning

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required
• Recent Cerner charting experience required
• 2+ completed travel assignments required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsible for the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Collaborates with other healthcare disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and desired outcomes
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
