Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience
• At least 2 completed travel nursing assignments preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Recent Cerner EMR charting experience
• Experience caring for Med Surg patients with remote telemetry monitoring
• Ability to float between Med Surg and Telemetry units as needed
• Strong adaptability, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective patient care using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and care for Medical-Surgical and telemetry patients with a focus on quality outcomes
• Administer medications and perform bedside scanning in accordance with clinical best practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate individualized patient care
• Support patients recovering from a variety of conditions, including orthopedic, post-operative, CHF, and respiratory needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner EMR
• Adapt to changing unit needs and provide flexible coverage when floating between departments
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered care environment
