Number of Beds – 8 inpatient beds 8 admission unit beds typically but occasionally flex up to 12 inpatient beds depending on overall hospital census
Number of Staff – 10
Type of staff:
o Day Shift – 1 chg, 2 rn, 1 pca
o Night Shift – 1 chg, 2 rn, 1 pca
Patient Ratios – maximum 6:1
Type of equipment – standard
EMR – meditech
Unit currently consists of Med/Surg Pt s
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for:
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Acute med/surg experience 1 years within the last year
Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Acute med/surg experience 2 years w/in the last year
Would prefer RN's w/ortho or neuro-surgery background. Med/Surg/Telemetry background would suffice.

Care of med/surg pt s
Standard nursing skills: IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance; medication administration; communication with all members of care team; documentation in EHR
