Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Tele Float Pool

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, every other weekend required.

Job Description

The MedSurg/Tele Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide care to patients in various specialties, primarily in MedSurg and Telemetry units. This role involves adapting to different patient care settings, ensuring high-quality nursing care, and supporting team dynamics across multiple units.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to patients with conditions such as CHF, cardiac issues, pneumonia, and chronic illnesses.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage basic telemetry patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have active RN license.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience in MedSurg and Telemetry nursing preferred.
• Pass a cardiac rhythm exam prior to working on the unit.
