Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Swing Bed unit requiring 2+ years of experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in a Med Surg/Swing Bed Program unit providing skilled nursing and rehabilitation to patients transitioning from acute hospital stays to home or long-term care
  • 13-week assignment with night shift hours from 18:30 to 07:00

Requirements

  • Active OK or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinating care across disciplines
  • Carry out physician and nursing orders and communicate patient condition as appropriate
  • Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
  • Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
  • Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
  • Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that affects pay rate
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this position
