Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Requirements: "This is a med/surg unit. Will not accept OR candidates. Stepdown/PCU experience is required
Must have acute care surgical floor experience. ENT and/or Transplant Experience Preferred
• Nurses for this unit need Med Surg experience as this floor has inpatients pre or post-surgical services-mostly surgical experience is needed.
• 4E 61000 candidates will care for patients post operatively and need to have experiences taking care of patients with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT or DHT. Some of these patients will be Step down care as well. Ratios are 5 or 5:1 for surgical patients and 3:1 for SD area."
Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below
Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel
Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed.

Job Summary: Under general supervision, the RN Surgical Specialty provides nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. The role involves assuming responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting patient responses to interventions, assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, administering medications, and monitoring physiological data. The RN interacts with patients and families to share care plans, informs them of hospital procedures, and makes referrals as needed. Delegation of tasks to support staff is also part of the role.
Required Qualifications:
• 1 year of experience
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program
Required Certifications & Licensure:
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association
