Job Details:

Job Title: Telemetry | RN - Registered Nurse

Location: Parkersburg, WV

Setting: Hospital

Pay Range: 2171.56 - 2280.14

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30; 19:00 - 07:30)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Candidate Type: Travel

Requirements:

BLS & ACLS certifications
Able to read strips, comfortable with post heart caths, CHF, COPD, post pacers (no external pacers), medical management or waiting for CABG consult, arrhythmias
Must be able to titrate Heparin; Cardizem & Amiodarone are not titrated
RN's need to be able to read strips
Willing to work 12-hour shifts, self-scheduling, and accommodated block schedule
Able to work every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed
Float ability within hospital units, including ICU & Stepdown, with patients within skill set
Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs, no hoodies or sweat-jackets
1 day of computer training, 1 day shadowing, then on own for the third day

Responsibilities:

Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret strips accurately
Provide patient care for post cardiac caths, CHF, COPD, and arrhythmia management
Titrate Heparin drips and assist with high-flow and support therapies like Bipap & Cpap when necessary
Complete admissions and discharges efficiently and collaborate with team members
Maintain a fast-paced environment with up to 12 discharges and admissions daily
