Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position on a Cardiac/Neuro unit requiring 4+ years of Cardiac/Neuro/Tele experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• 3 East unit, a Cardiac/Neuro specialty unit within a 298-bed teaching hospital
• Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds depending on unit configuration
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6
• 13-week assignment on night shift (12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage required if needed
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required
• No block scheduling considered

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand prior to consideration (compact license not accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required in hand prior to consideration
• Minimum 4+ years of current Med/Surg, Cardiac, and Neuro experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Skills checklist with high proficiency in Cardiac/Neuro patients required
• "Straight MS" experience alone does not qualify for this position
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Cardiac/Neuro Med/Surg unit
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Two holidays required to be worked from the following pairs: Thanksgiving and the Friday/weekend after, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and the Friday/weekend after, or New Year's Eve/New Year's Day and the Friday/weekend after
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted for the duration of the assignment, and must be submitted at time of profile upload
• Scheduling and RTO requests made after offer will not be approved and may result in a rescinded offer
• Traveler must not be working another perm or travel assignment concurrently with this one
